Committee Role Descriptions

Leonard Daniels MBE

Chairman

Responsible for leading the committee and focusing it on strategic matters, overseeing Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards' business and setting the standards. Chairing committee meetings and being the main port of call for major committee business.

Tom Winchester

Vice-Chairman

Working very closely with the Chairman, stepping in as Chair in their absence. Also sets a high standard to the rest of the committee and helps guide others to be successful.

Carol Lady Baker

Treasurer

Responsible for Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards' accounts alongside all incoming and outgoing transactions. The final port of call when it comes to spending money as everything has to be signed off by the Treasurer.

Isla Emmett

Secretary

Responsible for taking minutes at committee meetings and any other admin tasks that may arise.

Social Media Manager

Creating and managing content for all social media channels, continually looking for new avenues at expanding Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards' online audience and being responsible for any social media communication with followers.

Vacant Position

Marketing Manager

Responsible for leading marketing campaigns for upcoming Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards events and working to continuously increase our reach across Somerset.

Fundraising Manager

Responsible for planning and working with other committee members in running fundraising events in the name of Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards. Working closely with the Chairman and Treasurer to increase funds and spending of them efficiently.

Committee Member

Making up the committee, Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards wouldn’t be able to function without them, and we're always looking for more! Often responsible for raising new ideas, Committee Members are responsible for turning up to committee meetings and working with other members to reach a consensus, making decisions as a collective group. Somerset Anne Frank Youth Awards always promote progression, so there will always be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.
